Striking impressive large 19th century Running Horse weathervane made into a freestanding sculpture. The horse has copper body, zinc head and beautifully detailed teeth, ears and eyes. The weathervane is mounted on copper stand with black wood platform base. Incredible verdigris patina. Wonderful example of early American craftsmanship. From a barn in Braintree, Massachusetts.
