Large Blown Glass Toucan by Färe-Marcolin This beautiful toucan sculpture measures about 11 inches high! It is in good vintage condition overall, showing a little wear and a small, clean chip off the tip of the beak, shown in the last photo though it is hard to photograph and hard to see in photos. "Färe-Marcolin" is what the FM stands for in FM Konstglas. Josef Marcolin (1933-2015), who originallly lived and was trained as a glassblower in Murano, Italy, moved to Sweden with his brother Benito in 1954. In Murano glass work, fine gold dust inside the glass is called gold polveri. Perhaps this term was dropped by Marcolin due to the inclusions being more notable gold flecks rather than gold dust.
