Snowy owl on driftwood mount. Life-size and realistic however made of white Imden farm goose feathers as a recreation. The beak and claws are sculpted from a resin material. 28"H x 11"W x 15"D including base. Beautiful bright white and soft feathers. Unique and hard to find of this quality. Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso soft transparent champagne with a hint of purple Italian art glass fish on base sculpture. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1950s. Published in his book (see photo), model 6180, and a later model number 6913 is in the same shape. The fish has little blue murine eyes, with white Latticino ribbons on the fins and tail. It is balanced on a clear glass base. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, coffee table, or display cabinet. Mid-century era. Would make a great addition to any Nautical, Marine / Ocean theme room.
