Beautiful and rare mid century rhino statue made of papier maché, filled with straw and covered with brown leather, glass eyes, completely in the style of Liberty of London, circa 1950.
This statue has very nice proportions and details, the muscles are beautifully and accurately depicted, the whole has a very nice age patina. Liberty of London released various leather animals in different sizes in the 1950s, including giraffes, elephants, lions, panthers, rhinos, hippos, dromedaries and many other animal species. These fantastic statues have a high collection value and are very sought after by collectors.
This rhino is in good vintage condition, with signs of age and use in accordance with the age, check the photos for more details!
