About the Item

Serene, elegant, and handsome bronze sculpture. Simple lines that are undeniably midcentury. Finely hand casted (evokes Brutalist), it boasts a handsome verdigris patina. This avian figure is casted with great detail while posed on a pedestal of the same material. The body encloses an area that is open presenting a striking rawness of the period (Brutalist) while creating a very striking profile. The figure is covered in allegorical feathers (circles) that bring out the texture to the material, 1950s. The base has “Japan” inscribed on it. Measures: 10” tall, 3.5” wide.
