Sculptural Murano glass horse by Vincenzo Nason, Italy, second half of the 20th century.
Executed entirely in clear (hyaline) Murano glass, this elegant sculpture features a highly stylized and elongated horse form. The mane and tail are dynamically modeled in transparent glass, creating a rhythmic silhouette and a striking play of light, reflections, and depth.
The piece retains its original circular paper label “V. Nason
C. – Murano – Italy” and is additionally signed “V. Nason” on the base, providing strong confirmation of authorship. This combination of label and hand signature is characteristic of Vincenzo Nason’s later production and significantly reinforces the attribution.
Conceived as a decorative sculpture with a strong sculptural presence, the piece exemplifies Nason’s ability to merge Murano glassmaking tradition with a modern, expressive formal language.
