Pair Large Brass Deer Figurine Sculptures

About the Item

Exceptional pair of large scale brass deer figurines. These two deer were not an original pair, but they look awfully good together. The larger deer stands over two feet tall (27.5”) and is nearly 3 feet long! This larger deer exhibits beautiful craftsmanship throughout with beautifully modeled fur, antlers and facial features. Notice the ornament and texture around the horns. The body as decorative elements at the hips and shoulders. The brass finish is a brilliant true gold color. The smaller deer is actually a planter! Lift the saddle to reveal a cavity. This is the perfect vessel for a succulent arrangement. Otherwise opt to keep the planter area capped and enjoy the deer purely for it’s sculptural appeal. The smaller deer is not the same exact color as the larger deer. The smaller deer has a slightly muted brass color. Both deer have a touch of patina with the smaller showing some verdigris on it’s back. This seated brass deer sculpture, inspired by the elegant Hollywood Regency designs of Sarreid, exudes sculptural grace and ornamental charm. The deer rests with composed poise, its form rendered in rich, hand-finished brass complete with intricate detailing suggesting saddle or collar adornments. The warm patina invites both tactile appreciation and visual depth, embodying the luxurious restraint of mid-century décor. This listing is for two brass deer. The silver planter pictured is not included. Exceptional pair of vintage large scale brass elephant sculptures. One is larger, one is slightly smaller but they both stand over 2 feet tall! Each elephant’s trunk reaching upward, a symbol of good luck. These are beautifully crafted with detail in the modeling.
