A stunning pair of original early 19th century equestrian bronzes of a Russian Cossacks and Roman Soliders riding horses, on naturalistically cast bases raised on marble plinths, most likely they were very fine grand tour pieces. The workmanship of this pair is absolutely superb with incredible casting, hand-chased elements, and a wonderful patina. Circa 1828 French
