About the Item
This unique glass sculpture is designed by one of the most esteemed Czech glass designers- professor Miroslav Janku. Janku specialized in Hot-formed glass sculptures of animals and this part of his art work has become legendary. This unique statue of fish uses purple glass with clear glass. It is hand made, created in Železnobrodské sklo factory in Železný Brod, Czechoslovakia in early 70s. The Czech glass makers had a wonderful tradition and reputation easpecially in the midcentury period. The produced some amazing work pieces known world wide. This is certainly one of them. This particular statue is in an excellent condition without any wear.
