About the Item

This elegant sculpture portrays a horseman in the Florentine Renaissance style, inspired by the great equestrian monuments that once adorned Italian piazzas. The finely cast rider, finished with a bronze-black patina, stands upon a plinth carved from natural sandstone, carefully aged to achieve its distinctive tone and texture. Each stone base undergoes a long preparation process—some spend several months in the atelier to acquire the perfect patina.
