About the Item
Wonderful sculpture in blown Murano artistic crystal glass. This fantastic item was designed in Italy during the 1960s and it is attributed to the artist Riccardo Licata for Cenedese.
This item is amazing as it perfectly represents an aquarium tank with a blue fish and a stunning emerald green base with highly aestetic details, like the green water glass floating.
A stunning addition for decorating a midcentury living room or a child bedroom.

Sculptor, printmaker. After studying at the Academy of Venice, Licata began to move towards a non-figurative style in the 1950s. He soon moved to Paris becoming the assistant to the Futurist artist Gino Severini at the School of Italian Art. In 1962 he was appointed professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and obtained the first prize in graphic art at the Venice Biennale in 1965. He also made many public mosaics mostly in Italy and France.
