About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso red to green and gold flecks Italian art glass pheasant bird sculpture. The piece is Attributed to designer Archimede Seguso. The bird has an inner layer of red glass on the head and transitions to a light green towards the tail. The entire body is filled with heavy gold leaf, with a clear glass layer over the top. It glitters in any light, specially in the sun as you can see from the photos. The bird stands on unique pulled glass base. Nice details to the tail as well. Would make for a great display on any vanity, dresser or coffee table. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures 7 5/8” long x 5 1/8” tall x 2 1/2” wide.
