Set of three vintage glass birds from Oiva Toikka’s celebrated collection for Nuutajärvi, Finland. Each piece is a variant of the model Alli, hand-blown in richly layered glass with shimmering luster and rhythmic striping unique to every bird. Designed by one of Finland’s most beloved glass artists, the Alli birds showcase Toikka’s exceptional sense of color, form, and character - each figure slightly different in tone and expression, yet united by elegant proportions and subtle iridescence. Displayed together, the trio forms a beautiful composition of shifting color and light - perfect for a shelf, sideboard, or windowsill where daylight can bring out their delicate hues. Design lovers and collectors value Alli for its refined balance between natural inspiration and abstract design, and as an original Nuutajärvi production, this set represents Toikka’s classic mid-century craftsmanship at its most authentic. All three are signed on the base and date from the 1980s. Heights range from 12 to 14 cm, lengths from 16 to 19 cm. Sold together as a set. About the designer: Oiva Toikka (1931–2019) was a Finnish designer renowned for his imaginative glass art and distinctive sense of form and color. Best known for his Birds by Toikka series for Nuutajärvi (and later Iittala), Toikka’s work combines traditional glassblowing craftsmanship with playful creativity, making each bird a unique character.
