About the Item
This delightful set of three vintage brass dodo bird figurines dates to the 1960s and was discovered at an estate sale in Berlin, Germany. Each figure represents the iconic, flightless, and now-extinct dodo, rendered with whimsical charm and plenty of character. Cast in solid brass, the birds display a naturally aged patina that enhances their warmth and mid-century appeal. Although unmarked, the craftsmanship reflects the decorative brasswork popular during the period. The trio is in very good as-found vintage condition, showing only minor signs of age. These sturdy little birds make a wonderful decorative accent for a shelf, desk, or curio cabinet, and are an excellent addition to any brass, bird, or mid-century collection. A unique and engaging set for display.
