Standing Ruby Red Deer in Blown Murano Glass with Red Shades Venice Italy 1990s.
Completely handmade in the 1990s in Murano, the Venetian island renowned for its centuries-old tradition of glassmaking, this sculpture depicting a standing deer seems to have come out of the world of fairy tales. Entirely made of ruby red glass, it is shaped in a masterful way, with soft, harmonious forms that only hand-blown glass can create. What also makes this sculpture unique are the wonderful shades of the glass, which vary from light to dark red, depending on the curves of the glass.
