About the Item

Taukana Regui Wauja Indigenous Ceramic "Tatu", 2020 This unique ceramic sculpture titled Tatu was created in 2020 by Taukana Regui Wauja, an Indigenous artist from the Wauja community in Brazil’s Upper Xingu region. Hand-built using ancestral techniques and painted with natural pigments, the piece reflects the deep spiritual and cultural connection between the Wauja people and the animal world.
