About the Item

Sculpture "Trois Chiots" by Georges Vacossin (1870-1942). The sculptor exhibited his works at the Salon between 1902 and 1937. He specialized in canine sculptures made of ceramic and bronze. Some of his canine groups were used for models at the Sèvres factory. Signed "Gio Vacossin 1908" and foundry stamp "LNJL Paris". Les Neveux de Jules Lehmann (German: Les Neveux de Jules Lehmann, also known as Les Neveux de J. Lehmann, also abbreviated as LNJL or LN Paris JL) was a Parisian art foundry, primarily known for the production and distribution of statuettes made primarily of bronze, ivory, or in combinations such as chryselephantine on marble bases during the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s. France, circa 1920.
