Two Large vintage painted terracotta rabbit sculptures from midcentury, England. Each rabbit displays an enjoyable lively posture, resting on their front feet with their ears laying back. The hairs are carved with a great attention to details, while the eyes are enhanced by black painting. A brown varnish contributes to the realism of these terracotta rabbits. This English pair of large painted terracotta rabbit sculptures, circa 1950-1960, would be a pleasant decorative item in most homes, perhaps in a living room or in a garden where it would add a realistic touch of nature.
They are a bit different in color, priced individually.
