19th century Italian Grand Tour carved white marble bust of Apollo, affixed to variegated marble plinth, no visible signature. Apollo was the Greek god of sun, music poetry and philosophy with idealized, classical features. In this bust Apollo is carved peering to his left, wearing a cape fastened by a medallion on his shoulders. A stunning addition to add elegance to any home.
