About the Item

Classical terracotta bust in very good original condition showing only light cosmetic wear normal and consistent with age. The bust depicts a woman’s head, her hair is tied back in a bun, a' la classical Greek or Roman statuary . This example is marked illegibly on verso, as shown. Circa 19th C, made in Europe, possibly France. H 18 x Diameter at Base 7.5 x W of Head 10.5 inches.
