An Amedeo Modigliani-inspired brass bust featuring two Minimalist figures. Wonderful slight oxidation to finish over entire brass surface. Nicely scaled piece that can stand alone, yet also work well in a collection. Very heavyweight for its size.
The history of two figures dates to ancient Egypt, with expression of familial bonds to symbolic representations of concepts like friendship and love in Modern art, and the exploration of the complex duality of the human psyche. The interaction, style, and symbolism of the figures convey the statue's specific meaning, such as depicting unity, tension, or a particular relationship.
