About the Item
Rare particularly beautiful depiction of the of a boy. Created by Gustave van Vaerenbergh under his pseudonym G. Carli from the Art Deco period.
This terracotta was polychromed by hand, which beautifully emphasizes the fine facial features. The color of the base, which is made of black Belgian marble, contrasts beautifully with the coloring of the bust. The bust is in impressive original condition. On the back of the neck is the pseudonym of Vaerenbergh 'G. Carli' and also 'Made in Belgium' and the model number '2119'.
Measurements, approx.: height 11,81 in - 30 cm, width 5,12 in - 13 cm, depth 4,72 in - 12 cm.
A wonderful art object, very charming, a exceptionally beautiful decoration for every interiour, an original of the Art Deco era.
