About the Item
A fine and elegant French alabaster bust of a young woman. The bust is signed on the back M. POTEILLO. The woman wears a headscarf that is gracefully sculpted. The wind is blowing through the ends of the scarf. Her face is made of alabaster marble. The body and headscarf are alabaster as well, but colored and the veins are accentuated. The bust is made in France, circa 1900-1910.
