This Garibaldi at Calatafimi is an original decorative majolica object realized in Sicily, Italy by Italian manufacture during the end of 19th century. This very rare painted majolica in the form of a banner plate represents a colorful portrait of Giuseppe Garibaldi. On the higher part of plate the wording Unità d'Italia Calatafimi. This object is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any object in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist, designer or craftsman who has died requires a license for export regardless of the work’s market price.
