About the Item
This Modern, figural female sculpture exhibits beauty in the simplicity and grace of its form. The artist manages to evoke the the subtle essence of femininity while simultaneously eliciting a mystique of the unfamiliar. This minimalist form blurs the line between masculine and feminine, human and alien, which further captivates the viewer. The proportions are pretty much life size – for a slender woman. The figure appears to be made of plaster, painted white, with a textured finish. The sculpture is perched on a black wood pedestal which is included with purchase. The pedestal base has wheels making it easy to position in your space.
Rising with timeless poise, this life-size abstract female figure captures the serene interplay between minimalist form and expressive presence. Its elongated, smooth curvature—rendered in luminous white with a gently textured finish—suggests both human essence and otherworldly grace. This ethereal silhouette, perched atop a contrasting black pedestal, commands quiet reverence while crystallizing mid-century abstraction.
Standing approximately 70 inches tall (including pedestal), the figure itself measures around 60 inches high, with a pedestal of 10 inches—finding balance between monumental scale and the intimate energy of sculptural portraiture. The projection depth is modest, ensuring elegant integration in both expansive galleries and refined foyer installations.

Fantasy Female Bust Figure Original by Daniel Painter, Plaster Fiberglass
By Daniel Painter
Located in Chattanooga, TN
This commanding female bust by Daniel Painter—titled “Fantasía”—is a striking synthesis of modern sensuality and classical poise. Cast in a rare combination of plaster and fiberglass, the sculpture merges tactile delicacy with structural permanence. Painter’s hand is evident in every contour: the elongated neck, stylized hair, and serene gaze evoke both ancient Greek ideals and mid-century surrealist dreamscapes.
The work’s monumental scale and sculptural luminosity elevate it beyond decorative art; it becomes a meditation on beauty, imagination, and form. Under ambient light, the matte surface catches soft shadows across the figure’s cheekbones and shoulders, revealing Painter’s mastery of proportion and rhythm. This piece belongs as comfortably in a refined modernist interior as it does in a contemporary gallery context.
The artist began with a mold created from a human model...
