About the Item

An interesting set of 4 modern inspired hand-crafted ceramic busts by Johannes Hedegaard for Royal Copenhagen Denmark. Each sculpture is marked on the bottom with Hedegaard’s signature with a inventory number. Dimensions: 8.5 x 4w x 5.75w / 5.5h x 2.5w x 4.5d. In very good vintage condition. Johannes Hedegaard (1915-1999) worked for Royal Copenhagen from 1948-1966 and became known for his ceramic works and relief works for both Royal Copenhagen and from his own studio. His work has been exhibited at the Lunds Museum, Chicago Institute of Arts, and several Danish Museums.
