This rare and striking early 20th century porcelain half-doll embodies the glamour, boldness, and playful sophistication of the Jazz Age. Measuring a substantial 5 inches tall, she is larger than many half-dolls of the period, making her presence all the more captivating.
She features a lovely curled blonde bob, the fashionable hairstyle of the 1920s, paired with finely painted details that exemplify Art Deco elegance: elongated vampy eyes, sculptural arched brows, and striking red lipstick that brings her face to life. Her most dramatic elements are her elegant dancer’s arms, raised in a graceful pose, and her exotic rose-pink bustier adorned with metallic breast covers, which is a highly unusual and eye-catching detail that sets her apart from more traditional examples.
