Finely carved bust in Spanish Emperador marble with Carrara white skull representing the theme of "Vanitas" or "Memento Mori"
It was a very popular theme especially in the 1600s; the name comes from the biblical phrase
"vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas" was a warning to the ephemeral human condition as was also the "Memento mori."
The dimensions are 43 x 25 x 20 cm the weight is 28 kg

The sculpture has an "antiqued" treatment, even with special patina, which makes it similar to the original museum models.
