About the Item
Decorate a wall or dress a over-door with this elegant antique gilt carving. Crafted in Provence, France circa 1780, the element features a center cherub sculpture holding a flower bouquet and flanked with pierced scrolled motifs of acanthus leaves. The sculpture is excellent condition and adorns the original gold leaf finish throughout. Originally, this carved element was at the pediment of an 18th century Louis XV wall mirror.
