This delightful antique sculpture was crafted in France circa 1890, and depicts two cherubic children at play with a goat in a joyful, animated composition. Sculpted in clay and signed on the base P. de Leonardi, the piece beautifully captures the innocence and vitality of childhood through expressive detail and graceful movement.
The richly modeled figures feature softly rounded forms, textured hair, and naturalistic gestures, while the goat is rendered with fine attention to anatomy and flowing fur.
