About the Item
Graceful and swift, Mercurius (Hermes in Greek mythology), was the Roman god of Commerce and the Market, protector of Traders. Considered the shrewdest and most cunning of all the gods, he was the son of Zeus and Maia, the daughter of Atlas. Dawning wings on his sandels and helmet, he was Zeus's messenger and appears in tales of mythology more than any other god.
Here, he is gracefully presented in bronze on a green marble base.
