About the Item
The shy semi-nude maiden, her hair in ringlets with rosette ornaments, is dressed in a loincloth with wings in relief and chains. She is wrapped in a long cloak that she holds out to the side with her right arm as if on display. She stands on a shaped plinth with acanthus leaves in relief on the front, and has a back support. Signed A. Cipriani on the back of the plinth.
Plinth measures 8.25 inches square
Condition: breaks and repairs to both hands, chip to one upper front corner of the plinth and a few light catches to the front torso which do not detract from the exceptional presentation.
