About the Item

Large bronze sculpture with a brown patina, representing a naked woman, sitting in an armchair, a pencil in one hand, a vase in the other, surrounded by antiques. Signature of the artist GB Amendola in an amphora at the back of the armchair. Giovanni Battista Amendola (1848-1887) is an Italian artist; despite brilliant studies with great Italian artists and his presence among others at the Universal Exhibition of Paris of 1878 and 1880, his career will be shortened due to illness. Good general condition, some wear from use 19th century H 36cm 52 x 30cm 18.850kg
