About the Item

This is a large Spanish bronze sculpture of a street urchin by the renowned Catalan sculptor Charles Anfrie, 1833-1905 and Circa 1890 in date. The standing figure of a youth in traditional costume holding a cigarillo, on a circular rocky outcrop base. The artist is best known for his sculptures of young children in playful or joyous depictions. The work is signed in cast to the base C. Anfrie. The attention to detail is absolutely fantastic and the sculpture is extremely life-like. Condition: In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation. Dimensions in cm: Height 57 x Width 23 x Depth 20 Dimensions in inches: Height 1 foot, 10 inches x Width 9 inches x Depth 8 inches.
