19th Century carved and painted wood figure of a troubadour or minstrel wearing a hat and long coat with his trousers tucked into knee-high boots and having a violin under one arm with his hand in his waistcoat pocket, the other arm extended with his hand out, palm up. The figures head nods when touched causing the articulated jaw to open and close. Signed and dated (1886) on the bottom.
