German Rococo silver shoe ornament. Imported to England in 1897 by Benjamin Phillips. Chased scroll and floral ornament. Shell-capped upturned elf toe, open laced front, and plain high heel. Gilt interior. German marks including fineness stamp 930 as well as English sterling-standard import marks including assay stamp (London). Weight: 3.7 troy ounces.
