About the Item

Absolutely stunning French chisel cast Patinated Bronze Classical standing Figures, draped in clothing. Mid to late Nineteenth Century. Firmly attributed to the work of Louis Valentin Elias Roberts of France. Each Femail holding aloft an empty Ewer standing on an ormolu classical base above a black marble elaborate stepped base, supported on highly ornate ormolu claw feet. Condition: Good condition with nice surface patination, ormolu has been professionally cleaned, tiny repair to one corner of marble. These pieces are quite heavy. Back and front views are similar. Width: (at base, an impressive) 7.75" (19.5cm). Depth: (at base) 5.5” (14cm). Height: (entire as shown in image one) 17.5" (44.25cm). Location: Dublin City, Ireland.
