Hand-carved with a gouge, the piece showcases a raw, tactile surface and strong folk art influence. Bold, expressive features. Eyes are painted in white, while a red border with graphic lines adds vibrant contrast. Steel nails, driven into the top and back of the head, form dramatic crest-like hairlines on both profiles. A powerful and unusual piece of outsider art ! Signed "Paul BAUMDET" at the back. A unique addition to any Art Brut or Folk Art collection.
