ABOUT
Cristallerie de Sèvres is born in 1750 by the initiative of Madame Pompadour. However, it was not until the reign of Charles X when the true splendor of Cristal de Sèvres occurs. This has only been possible thanks to the remarkable quality of its products, including his famous “Opalines”, crown jewel, or the wonderful pieces set in silver and gold and released in the Universal Exhibition of 1878.
In just a century and a half, Cristal de Sèvres and their luxury glassware conquer the “art de la table” lovers, with its aesthetic with the times, its timeless sophistication and its famed crystal Craft, unmatched legacy of master glass makers eighteenth century.
Cristal de Sèvres currently is the result of Madame de Pompadour’s will to create simple and elegant collections, objects of desire and exclusivity. It’s style is recognized in the whole world at first sight. A timeless game of edges against the curves, the thickness and refinement, the clearness against opacity, that reveals the brightness and beauty of crystal in a landscape of contrasts accomplices.

ABOUT
Josef Adolph
Josef Adolph ~ Austrian, created many small figural models in the Art Deco period around 1910-1939. Typical for Adolph and at the same time characteristic of the Art Deco era, was the depiction of the concept of modern life - in particular, that of the “modern woman” in rhythmic, sensual and aerodynamic poses taken from the new forms of dance, for which there was a lot of enthusiasm at that time.
The Art Deco Period: although Art Deco derives its name from the great 1925 Paris Exhibition, ‘L’Exposition Internatlionale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes’, the term is now generally applied to the typical artistic productions of the 1920’s and 1930’s. It might best be characterised as an attempt to unite arts with industry, embracing the machine age and repudiating the old antithesis of ‘Fine’ and ‘Industrial’ art. The sources of the Art Deco movement include Egyptian and Mayan Art, Cubisim, Fauvism and Expressionism, heavily influencing the chief force underlying all Art Deco...

Archimede Seguso was an Italian glass manufacturer and a designer born in 1909, in Murano, Italy and passed away in 1999. At the age of 11, Seguso started training and working as a glassmaker at his father's glass company. Later on, circa in 1930, he took over the family business, named Seguso Vetri d'Arte. In 1946, he founded his own glass manufacturer company in Murano, Vetreria Artistica Archimede Seguso. Seguso was one of the 20th century's master Venetian glassmakers.
