About the Item
Art Deco Rare Porcelain Figurine, designed by Theodor Degenring for the Porzellanfabrik Günthersfeld AG, Gehren, Germany 1930s. Rare find, this piece was made of porcelain trimmed in gold, it is in great condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. I don't think it was ever in water. Marked under the bottom with maker's mark PG Gunthersfeld (used between 1929-1945) and the #6589 impressed.
Measures: Height 19 cm (7-1/2 inches).
Identical model exhibited in 2020 at The GRASSI Museum for Applied Arts Leipzig, in the expo called "TOP OF THE ART DECO. Prong style porcelain"
