Art Deco Sculpture The Archer Hercules by Max Le Verrier This sculpture shows the classic pose of The Archer / Hercules, son of Zeus, drawing his bow. The piece is by the artist Max Le Verrier (1891-1973), also known as Louis Octave Maxime Le Verrier or simply Artus, a pioneer of the Parisian Art Deco movement. The sculpture is cast in spelter with an antique green and bronze patina and stands on a stone plinth that bears Max Le Verrier's signature to the back. The bow is in patinated bronze. The piece features classic geometric form, so distinctive of the Art Deco period. Overall the sculpture is in very good condition. Height: 25 cm Width: 21.5 cm Depth: 6 cm Circa: 1925
