About the Item
In this listing you will find a stunning avantgarde hand-painted sculpture in plaster. The sculpture depicts a child with the hollow chest, which is painted in the manner of Frida Kahlo. It appears the artist wanted to explore the relationship between consumerism, the body, and human emotion, by using the reassembled parts of mass-market toys to create a new, unique narrative. The art piece is signed in the bottom of the base with "Jankov, 1983". As it was purchased in Belgrade, it provides with information it's a Yugoslav artist.
The sculpture is in overall good condition with some signs of time and some small damages.
