Marcel André Bouraine (1886-1948) is a French sculptor. He studied sculpture under the direction of Joseph-Alexandre Falguière. Captured by the Germans during the First World War, he was interned in Switzerland. Back in Paris, he exhibited at the Salon des Tuileries in 1922. After beginnings still imbued with academicism, Bouraine revealed himself in the 1925s as one of the most representative sculptors of Art Deco. Bouraine was a member of the Society of French Artists and participated in the Salon d'Automne. In 1928 he collaborated with Gabriel Argy-Rousseau who commissioned several sculptures from him, as well as sometimes with his friend Pierre Le Faguays. He also exhibited two monumental sculptures at the 1937 Universal Exhibition in Paris.

Marcel-André Bouraine
Studied under Joseph Falguiere in France. .He is highly regarded by Art Deco collectors and his works are usually in bronze or bronze and ivory or marble. He also worked with Argy Rouseau and created pate de verre lamps and sculptures. Bouraine was also a member of the Evolution Group. There is considerable information on his work online.
