Beautiful small bronze statuette with ormoulu finish from the early 20th century, around 1920, on a breccia marble base. Untitled a rare representation of steeplechase with a jockey and his horse jumping a hurdle.
This satuette is signed at the base of the bronze Charles PAILLET (1871-1937)
Charles Paillet is one of the greatest French sculptors of the early 20th century. He started at the Salon in Paris in 1897 and he obtained 3 honorary medals: in 1902, 1904 and a gold medal in 1922. Charles Paillet created many automobile mascots.
