About the Item
The Maasai Warrior joins my series of figurative works inspired by Africa’s tribes, each piece a reflection of cultural pride and enduring legacy: Standing tall, proud, and resilient, this sculpture embodies the essence of the Maasai people, known for their indomitable spirit and deep-rooted traditions. Every curve and detail of this sculpture tells a story - of courage, heritage, and the unyielding bond between the Maasai and the African lands they've roamed for centuries. My bronze art and furniture are inspired by Africa’s wonderful wildlife and people. Taking inspiration from the bush and my previous experience as a safari guide, my creations strive to capture the essence and beauty of the animals and people I sculpt.
Each piece is exclusively sculpted, cast, finished and patinated by myself. Using the lost wax method of bronzing each sculpture is cast by me in my Black Dog Foundry.
With every sculpture individually hand finished and patinated no two sculptures will be exactly the same, with each piece having its own unique patina colouration. All works are signed and numbered editions.
