About the Item

This unusual bronze really caught our attention. The seated female warrior perched high atop a marble base is a rare look in antique bronzes. The bronze itself is well cast and has a warm dark original factory patina. Where she sits looks like it might be bronze, but it is not. The top few inches are hand carved marble. That choice of marble is seen on either German or Austrian bronzes from the turn of the century. We believe this is German. Unusual that it is not signed, but it does happen. This is an exceptionally high quality unusual piece of antique sculpture.
