About the Item

Bronze and tin dated 1911 by Jean Baffier recognized for his work on the peasantry Berrichonne. This pair of empty pockets (differences in the headdresses and pedestals) is dedicated to his patron Angelo Mariani Corsican industrial of the late nineteenth century known for his Mariani wines made from a blend of Bordeaux wines, and coca leaves. This pair of sculptures is part of a large 65-piece table on nature and men, many of which are in the Berry Museum.
