An exceptional and most charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period patinated bronze and ormolu statue signed Houdon. The statue is raised by a wonderfully executed ground-like base with beautiful intricately detailed love birds and charming flowers. Above is the exceptional winged Cupid draped in a flowing garment with a crown of finely detailed flowers in his hair while aiming his bow.
