About the Item
A high quality and most charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu statue of a maiden with winged cherub signed Musée de Sèvres. The statue is raised by a circular white Carrara marble base below the ormolu support with a wrap around reeded pattern. The beautiful maiden is draped in elegant classical attire and has her hair in an updo with a floral crown. She leans on a pedestal while holding a winged cherub seated at her feet on a rock designed base. Striking satin and burnished finish throughout.
