Gorgeous French 19th century bronze study of the Flemish sculptor and architect Giambologna's "Abduction of A Sabine Woman" signed V. Paillard. Victor Paillard, a 19th century bronzier, (1805-1906) was one of the most distinguished casters of the second half of 19th century. His detail and craftsmanship are on beautiful display here.

Very large bronze sculpture with brown patina, based on the group "The Rape of the Sabine Women" by John of Bologna (Giambologna).
